Anagrams combined with Word Search, with a mix of Crosswords.
Typeshift may be the modern anagram puzzle; re-imagined from the ground up, combining wordplay, modern game design, along with a mobile-first approach.
In most corruption games, you search for brand new combinations within a single term, but in Typeshift, you lookup within three to five words piled & scrambled up with each other.
Shift columns of characters up and down as you try to mean words in the center line. Play continues until you used all letters in a puzzle at least once.
Special Clue Vague ideas combine Crosswords with Anagrams as you match clever hints provided by Typeshift's various puzzle authors.
iphonefreegamesreview | Like most addictive games, TypeShift seemingly simple, challenging you to create a number of five-letter words out of a jumble of letters.
TypeShift isn’t fundamentally different from most word games; you’re still creating words from a selection of letters.
Basically, you’re given rows of letters and you need to drag (or shift) the columns up and down so that the highlighted letters form a word. The letters that you’ve successfully used in a word will turn from brown to turquoise.
The level is considered solved when all letters are turquoise. But you can match extra words as long as you keep one letter brown until you’re ready to complete it.
The game then tells you all the words you found, splitting them up between “core” words and extras. At one point, I found thirty-five words but only one of the core words.
Besides these, there are “clue” packs that are more like crossword puzzles. You’re given a list of clues and you have to try to figure out what word reflects each clue, create it and tap the clue you think you’re solving.
If you’re right, the letters that are no longer needed disappear from the board.

Typeshift is free to to download and has a very generous amount of free content that you can play at no cost at all. The game is split up into several packs, some free and some paid.
Any purchase removes ads for the entire game. Right now, you can tap on any word you find and it will show the Merriam-Webster definition, so you can learn while you’re playing.
Unfortunately, there’s no record of all the words you found so you can browse through them later. It would give the game more replay value if I had some idea of how many words I missed.

Each puzzle presents you with a grid of letters, divided into five columns.
When you do make a word, each letter will turn green, and the goal of each stage is to change the color of every letter in the grid.
This structure makes TypeShift feel much looser and more playful compared to other word games.
Every challenge presents you with a grid of letters, and your goal is to shift columns and create words within the centre row.
Finding a word marks those letters until you've used every tile on the grid. Many words can be formed from the letters on a grid, but the true test is clearing levels in as few words as possible.
TypeShift moves from a relatively simple word game to one about carefully analysing every letter, planning every move, and wracking your brain for the most efficient words.
Clue puzzles build upon those aspects, adding crossword elements toTypeShift. Short phrases and hints offer context to find specific words within the grid.
Leaderboards and unlockable themes add more incentive to play, butTypeShift's smart design and enjoyable gameplay will keep fans of word games entertained for a long time.

Overall, Typeshift is a solid word game that I’m having trouble putting down. It’s free to try, so definitely check it out.
